Judging the Canadian Regional Design Awards in Toronto.

2013 was a great year for design. In January, as part of a team of 16 judges, Sharie Hunter reviewed entries in the 2014 Canadian Regional Design Awards (the Redgees) in Toronto. 8 Judges (Sharie included) gathered for a full day of judging at the C.J Skateboard Park in Toronto, evaluating all the categories that included printed pieces, packaging and physical materials. Opera Gala 2014 – The Price of Loyalty & Betrayal

Arthur Hunter creates bold and dramatic designs for the Calgary Opera’s 2014 Gala.

The design created for the premier fundraising gala uses texture, unique sizes and folding techniques to create a dramatic memorable piece. A fully embossed cover, Japanese patterns and butterflies are combined with rich reds and bold typography to convey the tragic end that awaits Madame Butterfly. A 16’ red dramatic fan greeted the 220 guests who enjoyed a magical evening. Kudos to our own, Sharie Hunter who co-chaired the event....

2014 Redgees

We’re proud to announce that Sharie Hunter has been selected as Judge for the upcoming 2014 Redgees.

Now ready for it’s fourth year, the Canadian Regional Design Awards has become the most comprehensive survey of contemporary Canadian graphic design ever assembled. Once again we’ve divided the country into eight regions representing the best of Canadian design. Designers compete within their own geographic region. Top designers from each region will judge the work, with the exception of design from their own region. The best-of-the-best will be highlighted with special recognition at the Canadian Regional Design Awards event in Toronto. Oh, and no radio or TV ads will be part of this competition.
